My Adventures with
Personal Stories of Working with Subtle Energies
Mount Hood is a National Forest, about an hour outside of Portland, Oregon. It is part of a string of volcanic mountains that are peppered along the Pacific coastal states.
I recently visited this national forest with a desire to focus on the "feelings" and the life force energy of this area. I wanted to determine what type of subtle energy is there that could be tapped in and used to amplify a person's spiritual experiences.
I arrived at Mount Hood in a pouring rain storm, and visited several places around the forest and mountain to see if I could feel that special "earth energy." I didn't feel that unique and special energy, however, which surprised me.
I wondered if I was not feeling it was because it was cold and rainy. I tried again the next day, and the following day, when there was better weather, but again didn't feel that special vibe.
Hmmm. I was surprised. I had expected to find this area filled with an abundant amount of life force energy, I also had assumed that because it was forged by the inner earth (volcanos) it probably had an energy frequency most closely associated with the energy of "grounding" or the "first chakra". But I was wrong. I felt nada.
I was reminded that earth energy sites can be seasonal, meaning the site is only an "earth energy site" during a particular season. Perhaps this was not the season where this type of earth energy could be felt? Also, some sites can change their heart centers based on the time of day, and other sites can have the earth energy even relocate to very remote an inaccessible areas if they feel it is necessary. I wondered if this was the case at Mount Hood. The other possibility was that it just wasn't an earth energy location.
In one of my meditations, however, I did feel a connection to the same female presence I felt at Lassen National Park, but here at Mount Hood, the energy was more like a distant whisper, which to me, meant it was not very strong and vibrant like I felt at Lassen National Park.
I concluded that for this time of year, anyway, this area wasn't an earth energy site. Sometimes you find treasures of vibrant life force energy in unexpected places, and other times, you don't. Many of the national parks and forests are earth energy sites, but unfortunately, I didn't feel it at Mount Hood - at this time- anyway.
